Rudy Ramphal, Pastor- Pastor Rudy was born in Guyana, South America and at the age of 5 relocated with his family to the Bahamas.  At the age of 13 he moved to Brunswick County, NC.  He graduated from South Brunswick High and, subsequently from Methodist University in Fayetteville, with a B.S. in Criminal Justice.  He also holds a Masters in Pastoral Theology from Cardiff University in Wales, UK as well as a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry from Campbell University.  Rudy has been the pastor of Elizabethtown Baptist Church since October 2020. His enjoys a good book and a stimulating conversation. His favorite scripture (well one of them) is 2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight. (NKJV)

Brenda Flowers, Associate Pastor- Brenda Flowers currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Music and Worship at Elizabethtown Baptist Church.  She is also the Director of Bands at East Bladen High School and Elizabethtown Middle School. Mrs. Flowers earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Carolina University and a Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University. After completing her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Flowers performed for three years as oboist with the 26th Army Band in Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Flowers has over 26 years of public-school teaching experience. Mrs. Flowers was the 2021-22 Teacher of the Year for East Bladen High School and for the Bladen County School system. She was the 2018-19 Teacher of the Year for Leland Middle School and the 2011-12 Teacher of the Year for Acme-Delco Middle School. In 1989, she was selected as the West Columbus High School and Columbus County Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Flowers’ professional affiliations include the National Conference for Music Education, North Carolina Music Educators Association, Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, Women Band Directors International, WBDI NC Chapter, and Sigma Alpha Iota. She is the treasurer for the Southeastern District Band Directors Association and is a member of their board of directors. In 2021 Mrs. Flowers received the North Carolina Bandmasters Association Award of Excellence for the Southeastern District. Mrs. Flowers is an ordained minister and has served churches all over North Carolina in the areas of music ministry and Christian education. Mrs. Flowers resides in Bladen County, with her husband, Jeff Flowers. Her favorite scripture (one of them) is Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Ashley Sasser. Minister of Youth- Ashley currently serves as our minister of youth and has served in this position since January 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies degree from the University of NC Wilmington, a Master of Arts in Education and Professional School Counseling from the University of NC Pembroke, and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Campbell University. Ashley is married to her high school sweetheart Wesley, and they have four wonderful children, Coley, Cooper, Carter, and Mary Grace. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and cooking. Ashley’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Jane King, Administrative Assistant- Jane King has served as the administrative assistant and receptionist at Elizabethtown Baptist Church since 2005. Jane’s has the important place of often being the first person people meet when visiting EBC during the week. She also oversees membership information and publishing. Jane graduated from Peace College in May 1979 with an Associate of Arts degree and an Associate of Science Degree in Accounting. In December 1981, Subsequently, she graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jane is married to Neill “Tojie” King, and they have three adult children: Will, Matthew and Amanda. Jane and Tojie have welcomed three more children to the King family with the marriage of Amanda to John Hunsinger, Will to Anna Mason and Matthew to Stephanie Pangiotakos. Jane and Tojie were blessed on March 2, 2023 with their first grandchild, Ivey Martin Hunsinger! Jane enjoys reading, meeting new people, traveling (when time allows) and spending time with her family and her two “fur babies”. Jane’s favorite scripture is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Patty Riley, Custodian- Patty has been working here at Elizabethtown Baptist, since April of 2005. She loves to travel and go on vacation. One of her favorite places to go is Puerto Verde, Mexico. It is a beautiful place. Her favorite hobby is to go camping. Patty married her best friend, Nathan Riley, on April 29, 2006; and became a mother on March 1, 2001 to a beautiful and amazing daughter, Savanna Adkins. Besides her relationship with Christ, Patty says that “Nathan and Savanna both have been my rock since day one.” Patty’s favorite scripture is Psalm 100:5 “For the LORD is good; His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations,"
